Trinity's May Ball will be headlined by Nothing But Thieves and Sigma, with Jigsaw ft. Dynamite MC as a supporting act, Varsity can exclusively reveal.

International multi-platinum selling DJ duo Sigma (aka Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie) were the only group in 2014 to have back-to-back UK No.1 singles, with ‘Nobody To Love’ and ‘Changing’ (featuring Paloma Faith). With two Brit nominations, a sold-out debut tour and main stage festival appearance including Glastonbury, V, Reading & Leeds, Bestival, and T In The Park.

Co-headliners Nothing But Thieves are a hot, new British indie rock band, who are playing several big festivals this summer, including Reading. Their debut album, which was released last year, peaked at number three on the iTunes charts, and went to number one on the Vinyl chart.

Nothing But Thieves and Sigma are supported by the DJ act Jigsaw ft. Dynamite MC. Jigsaw is the stage name for Jimmy Wallace, a Scottish DJ who has performed alongside some of the world’s biggest artists, including Chase & Status, Calvin Harris, Zane Lowe and Annie Mac. He will be performing alongside Dynamite MC, a rapper from Gloucester who has collaborated with Caspa, Andy C and DJ Zinc, to name but a few.

2016 marks the 150th anniversary of Trinity May Ball, which first took place in 1866. The inaugural event, attended by just 38 Trinitarians has since grown into one of the main spectacles of May Week. Tickets to the sold-out 2016 event were highly sought after.
