Cambridge University Boat Club towing vehicle stolen overnight
The vehicle was allegedly stolen last night (29/3) from SW12, London just days before this year’s Boat Race

Cambridge University Boat Club’s (CUBC) towing vehicle was allegedly stolen last night (29/3) from the SW12 postcode area in London.
In a Facebook post published earlier today (30/3), CUBC confirmed that a Light Blue Iveco Daily, fitted with a Goldie-coloured sheet of tarpaulin and the registration number RV67 BSZ, went missing overnight.
The Metropolitan Police have been informed of the reported theft.
It is unlikely that the incident will affect this Sunday’s (3/4) Boat Race, given that Cambridge’s competition boats took to the Championship Course in Putney, London on Monday (28/3), presumably being transported at an earlier date.
CUBC will compete in the 76th Women’s and 167th Men’s Boat Races on Sunday 3rd April at 14:23 and 15:23 respectively.
Varsity has contacted CUBC and the Metropolitan Police for comment.
