Now is the ideal time to join the beating heart of student journalism in Cambridge
Applications to join Varsity’s social media team are now open.
This is your chance to help shape Varsity’s social media output, shaping how Cambridge’s biggest stories reach our broad audience.
Varsity is the oldest and only independent student newspaper in Cambridge, and one of only three in the UK. We hold institutions to account, representing the interests of students with integrity, ambition, and a creative edge.
Our social media team plays a key role in bringing our reporting to life. From promoting breaking news and investigations to creating engaging content around fashion, music, and theatre, you’ll help define Varsity’s digital presence and connect our reporting with audiences in Cambridge and beyond.
Whether you’re interested in video production, content creation, or managing our social media output, there is a place for you at Varsity. You’ll gain hands-on experience, develop valuable media skills, and contribute to one of Cambridge’s most influential student institutions.
The Editors-in-Chief of Varsity in Michaelmas term will be Daisy Bates (db974) and Bibi Boyce (blbb2). Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions about the application process or what it’s like to contribute to the paper.
