Apply to become Editor of Varsity in Easter Term
Could you lead Cambridge’s best student newspaper next term? Applications close February 26th
Applications are now open to become Editor of Varsity in Easter 2018. This is your opportunity to take up the lead editorial role producing Cambridge’s biggest and best student newspaper.
Applications can be solo or as a pair. The successful candidate(s) will lead a large team, managing Varsity’s website and social media presence during the term, and producing a print edition during May Week.
Applications are expected to show a strong vision for the paper, with a particular focus on tackling the challenges and opportunities of a web term.
No prior experience at Varsity or any other student publication is required for the role. Candidates will be expected to show a clear vision for the paper’s editorial direction during Easter.
Previous Editors include some of Britain’s top journalists, and can be found working across the worlds of media, film, theatre, politics and more.
Information about how to apply can be found here (PDF download). The deadline for applications is Monday 26th February, with interviews intended to be held on Friday 2nd March.
