You’re chronically online and love keeping up with the latest trends!Jessica Spearman for Varsity

Have you ever wondered which social media app fits your personality best? Me neither! But if you’re looking for a rogue way to procrastinate, then look no further! This quiz will settle the argument once and for all. Trust me, I’m a Varsity writer.

1. A friend asks to meet up with you, and asks you to choose where to go. What do you suggest?

a) Going on a walk – great way to get some exercise, take in the scenery and catch up with each other.

b) Meeting up in a big group/ going out together – you’re always busy and will have to invite them to something in order to see them!

c) Coffee and chat – your default.

d) The cinema – you love having something to watch with a friend and that you can choose whichever genre you feel like!

e) The library – time for a study session.

f) The grand arcade – a new distraction round every corner keeps you engaged so a mall is perfect for you.

2. It’s exam season. You’re locked in, studying in your favourite location, at your most productive. Where are you?

a) The UL – intense, serious vibe works best.

b) College library – minimum effort and bumping into loads of friends!

c) A café – perfect location to have a natter and get some work done. And a coffee of course.

d) Sidge – you love people watching and even being scouted for crushbridge…

e) Law library – living out your ‘Suits’ fantasies.

f) In your room in bed – Alone time means no one to judge you for constantly checking your phone…

3. You’re out food shopping. Where are you headed?

a) Tesco – cheap, easy, and a meal deal never disappoints.

b) You don’t! – you only eat in college. Who’s got time for cooking, anyway?

c) Mainsburys – you love bumping into the rest of the world in there!

d) Aldi – you love a cheap deal!

e) M&S – your side hustles have provided the means to splash out a bit!

f) Online – shopping is too much effort: you order food in for simplicity.

4. What’s your favourite style of music?

a) Whatever’s on the radio – the UK big top 40 is where it’s at.

b) Rap – cool hipster music is right up your street.

c) Pop – all those classic hits from the year 6 disco which they still play at Revs.

d) Oldies but goldies – does what it says on the tin!

e) Classical music – it doesn’t get any better than some Vivaldi and Beethoven.

f) Trending songs – whatever is viral at the minute!

5. What society do you do?

a) College sport – a great low commitment form of exercise.

b) No society – no time when you’ve already got such a full social life!

c) Uni level sport – you’re a serious athlete with an online fanbase!

d) Rowing – 6am on the river is your favourite time of day.

e) Investment society – only career-oriented societies are worth going to.

f) Dance – you love a cheeky boogie!

6. Final question! You meet someone on a night out. You get on really well and would like to stay in touch by connecting online. What do you ask them for?

a) Their number – the most mature and practical choice.

b) Their Snapchat – constant bullying about streaks means it’s the app you use the most, so are most likely to contact them there.

c) Their Instagram – you can keep up to date on their life through their stories while clocking up another follower you’ll probably forget how you met.

d) Their Facebook – perfect to see what they’ve liked on camfess and get all that personal information like where they grew up and went to school.

e) Their LinkedIn – no funny business, just business. Keeping it strictly professional.

f) Their TikTok – so you can bond over sending them the funny videos on your feed.

And as that last question suggested, the results are in!

If you got mostly As, you’re WhatsApp, you keep it classic and traditional.

If mostly Bs, then Snapchat, you can’t get enough of those filters and streaks with people you’ve met once.

If mostly Cs then Instagram, you’re built for aesthetics and popularity.

If mostly Ds then Facebook, you’re either a Camfess warrior, or a 90s baby, or simply a rower.

If mostly Es then you’re LinkedIn, the serious, locked in type who will end up becoming a millionaire before the age of 30.
