The end of the year has made us reflect on the fashion highs of 2017. From the Oscars to the Grammys, Emmys to the Golden Globes, stars come from far and wide dressed in the best that the fashion industry has to offer. 10. Stranger Things at the Emmys, September 2017

Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin - aka the cast of Stranger Things - turned out to this year's Emmys in force. Okay, we might be cheating with four outfits here but you can't break up the party. The boys were out to impress in Prada, Balmain, Ted Baker, and Garçon Couture.

The Fashion Awards 2017, held in London, were a natural breeding ground for a range of red carpet looks. However, it was Winnie Harlow’s Brandon Maxwell ensemble which stood out. The look was made up of a cream knit sweater and a pale mint green full skirt with a striking thigh-high split.

Making rainbow glamorous, Tessa wowed in this shimmering showstopper from Rosie Assoulin.

7. Blake Lively at the Golden Globes, January 2017

At red carpet events, it seems that Blake Lively can do no wrong. While Lively can be seen to experiment with her red carpet looks, this custom Atelier Versace gown was classic and timeless. The gold detailing against the black accentuated a post-pregnancy body most of us could only dream of, and with Ryan Reynolds on her arm, Lively was certainly a winner.

Lorde’s lilac tulle gown, by Monique Lhuillier, was instantly eye-catching. The VMAs are a red carpet event where celebs usually experiment with more avant-garde fashion, yet Lorde chose to keep things simple, elegant and ethereal. Paired with minimal hair and makeup, Lorde was an easy favourite for best-dressed.

Effortlessly cool, Halsey stunned everyone in this TLC-inspired electric blue jumpsuit and Ippolita jewellery.

For Janelle Monáe’s first Academy Awards appearance, she was dressed in a fairy-tale-esque gown by Elie Saab, comprising a full-bodied skirt and scattered with sequinned birds and embellishments. Combined with her sleek pixie cut, Monáe’s gown sent social media wild, with the world obsessing over yet another piece of Elie Saab perfection. 

2. Zendaya at the world premiere for The Greatest Showman, December 2017

Zendaya is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after stars, and her red carpet looks never fail to please. Often taking dramatic risks with her looks, Zendaya chose a stunning black and red Viktor & Rolf gown to attend the premiere of The Greatest Showman.
