Introducing Varsity’s new podcast: Varsity Voices!
The perfect companion for your morning walks to lectures is here
This term, Varsity is launching a new podcast: Varsity Voices. Each episode serves as a roundup of all the latest news and features from the journalists behind the Cambridge paper.
The podcast is hosted by two veteran Varsity journalists, Anuk Weerawardana and Nick James, who will keep listeners up to date with all the most important developments happening in Cambridge, as well as interview all the other talented Varsity journalists breaking important and entertaining stories.
The first episode covers the two front page stories from Varsity’s latest print edition: that the University dismissed complaints against Nathan Cofnas’ recent controversial blog posts, and how Cambridge helped evacuate its offer-holders from Gaza.
It also features interviews from the two comment writers, Jasper Burnside and Joshua Prince, who clash over whether Cambridge should follow Oxford in giving its students access to free ChatGPT-5. Finally, the podcast ends with an interview with Varsity’s lifestyle editor Jess Gotterson, who wrote a piece about how two second-years got married, and not just in the college sense!
All episodes can be found here on Spotify, where listeners can follow the podcast to be notified when a new episode comes out.
New episodes will be released every other Tuesday during term-time, and will be the perfect companion for morning walks to lectures!
