Lacrosse women go from strength to strength
Blues now six points clear after another dominating display

The Women’s Lacrosse Club secured their eighth consecutive league win in a thrilling second clash against Exeter, taking the honours by a score of 15-5.
The game opened with the Blues defence holding off a challenging Exeter attack, with a turnover leading to Anna Pugh scoring for Cambridge. Exeter soon equalised, but for the rest of the first half, the Blues defensive unit was infallible, while the Cambridge attack made it 5-1 by half time.
Exeter came back fighting, scoring four in the second half. This was still no match for the play of the Blues. Cambridge’s top scorers were Pugh and Sophie Morrill, with four each, followed by two each from Lara Pleydell-Bouverie and Daniella Allard. The woman of the match award went to goalie Ari Midgen. Alana Livesey, returning to the Club, also had a strong game.
The Blues now stand six points clear at the top of BUCS Premier Division South. They will finish the season with a hotly anticipated fixture against Oxford.
