Join Varsity‘s visual team this Easter
Now is the ideal time to have your talents published in Cambridge’s only independent student newspaper
Applications to join Varsity’s visual team in Easter 2026 are now open. Apply to be a photographer, illustrator, puzzle-maker, or cartoonist to make your mark on the paper.
Varsity is the oldest and only independent student newspaper in Cambridge, and one of only three in the UK. We hold institutions to account, representing the interests of students with integrity, ambition, and a creative edge.
The Easter team’s primary responsibility will be to produce a glossy 64-page magazine, the Yearbook & Review, at the beginning of June. Until then, however, the team will produce high-quality and regular online content throughout term, and afterwards in the Summer vacation.
Therefore, visuals will have a huge role in Varsity this coming term. We are looking for a large team of photographers and illustrators who are keen to make the paper more aesthetically engaging, and who are willing to make their mark on how the website and Yearbook will look and feel.
Now is the ideal time to join Varsity.
