David Howarth, MP for Cambridge, to stand down
David Howarth, Liberal Democrat MP for Cambridge, has announced that he plans to stand down at the next general election.
Howarth has represented Cambridge since 2005. He is one of over 100 MPs who have already announced that they will stand down in the upcoming electoral contest.
Howarth says he is stepping down to "concentrate on [his] other life as an academic".
