CUSU set to vote on NSS boycott
The vote follows a provisional boycott to refuse to fill in the survey, which has become the focus of the resistance to the Higher Education and Research Bill

CUSU is to vote on whether or not to call upon Cambridge students to boycott the National Student Survey (NSS) at the next CUSU Council on Monday.
The survey, which is sent to finalists at UK universities, has become a major battleground between the government and students opposed to the Higher Education and Research Bill currently before Parliament.
Under the government’s proposals, results from the NSS will be used to rank universities as gold, silver and bronze. The highest-ranked universities will be allowed to raise their tuition fees in line with inflation, a proposal which has been heavily criticised by students.
CUSU previously called upon Cambridge finalists to boycott the survey provisionally until a vote could be held at CUSU Council to approve a formal boycott.
The National Union of Students has also called upon students to boycott the survey, as has the University and College Union, the union which represents academic staff.
