EXCLUSIVE: Christ’s May Ball release headline act
There is no need to be worried about Ray, or anyone else for that matter, as Christ’s reveal a music sensation for their main stage
Christ's headliner is The Hoosiers, who will be playing alongside The Carnabys and Gentleman's Dub Club.
The Hoosiers reached No.1 in the UK with their debut record 'The Trick to Live' in 2007 and are perhaps best known for hits including 'Worried About Ray' and 'Goodbye Mr A'.
Ayeesha Ghelani and Louis Stuart-Bourne, the Ents Officers for Christ’s May Ball Committee 2016, have emphasised the importance of "creating the best atmosphere we can on the night."
"Too often, headliners that may provide bragging rights don’t deliver a ball worthy performance. This was not something we were going to accept for Christ’s May Ball, and so we’ve focused on creating a lively and exciting atmosphere for all of our ball goers."
Arjun Rajani and Rebecca Williams, Presidents of the Committee, add: "the Ents Team put a lot of work into ensuring there is something for everyone at the Ball: from rock bands to comedians, acoustic artists to magicians. We look forward to seeing all of our guests enjoying our spectacular line up on the night!"
The Hoosiers, The Carnabys and Gentleman's Dub Club complete a wide range of acts. They will be joined by the Fruity Clave Samba Band, a DJ set from Zkeletonz, as well as some top Cambridge talent from Leo and Toby, Natasha XH, Max and Neal, Olsen Jazz Band, Dark Sass, The Satanic Mills, Ronald Prokes, Damien Aries, and Christ's own Robin Lamboll.
Christ's May Ball promises to be a fantastic evening with a range of musical acts to suit everyone's tastes. Ranging from local talent, to national pop stars, Christ's will certainly be a tough lineup to beat.
