WATCH: Cambridge’s brightest minds tackle C-Sunday
As exams come to a close, watch as the ‘leaders of the future’ (their words, not ours) congregated on Jesus Green for one last hurrah before they began
Caesarian Sunday is a time-honoured tradition where the brightest and best students that Cambridge has to offer all take an afternoon away from their essays, example sheets, and ever-growing sense of imminent doom to have one last hurrah before they're relegated to the confines of the library for the rest of term.
The afternoon of unrestricted boozing began as a brawl between the drinking societies of Jesus College, the Caesarians, and Girton, the Green Monsters, but has since become a university-wide tradition. Students from all colleges now congregate on Jesus Green and, armed with their inalienable wit and as much wine that a tenner can get them from Mainsbury's, spend the afternoon drinking, causing havoc, and running into everyone they've ever met.
To investigate this tradition further, Varsity sent our bravest journalists to find out just what happens on C-Sunday, and to listen to the pearls of wisdom that only an inebriated Cambridge student can offer.
