Daniel Radcliffe is miles away from Hogwarts in this bizarre new film, also starring Paul Dano. A young man, stranded on a desert island, prepares to end his life when he discovers a flatulent corpse with an unbelievable number of uses. Premiered at the Sundance Film Festival early this year, Swiss Army Man is surely a good option for those seeking a unique cinematic experience.
- The Girl on the Train
Emily Blunt stars in this new release, based on the 2015 novel by Paula Hawkins. The protagonist, Rachel, watches her neighbourhood pass by every day from a train window when, one day, she witnesses something. A suffering alcoholic, Rachel struggles to recount the events of that day and finds herself accused of the murder of Megan Hipwell (Haley Bennett).
- Deepwater Horizon
Based on the true story of the USA’s worst ever oil spill and the sinking of the oil rig Deepwater Horizon, this recent release tells the story of the crew of the rig and their families with an all-star cast including Mark Wahlberg, Kate Hudson, Kurt Russell and John Malkovich. Louis Theroux wrote and stars in this new documentary film about the Church of Scientology. After being refused access to the church by its officials Theroux and his team, aided by former official Mark Rathbun, attempt to recreate incidents which occurred within the church itself. The documentary promises to be both provocative and entertaining in its insight into this highly-secretive organisation.
