How the Dark Deal Event Works
The Dark Deal event is available to all players at Town Hall 6 and above. Unlike regular gameplay, this event revolves around a special currency called Goblin Cash. You collect Goblin Cash by attacking in multiplayer battles, which then unlocks rewards on a special track.
When the event starts, the Grand Godfather appears in your village and introduces you to the event. A Looter Wagon collector is placed outside your village, which produces Goblin Cash slowly over time. The main way to earn Goblin Cash is by raiding Storage Vaults during multiplayer attacks.
Event Currencies
The Dark Deal event uses two special currencies that work together:
- Goblin Cash: Goblin Cash is earned by attacking other players in multiplayer battles. Resource buildings like Gold Storages and Elixir Storages become Storage Vaults during the event. When you destroy these vaults, you collect Goblin Cash. The good news is you can’t lose Goblin Cash once you earn it. If opponents attack you and steal from vaults, the game generates that Goblin Cash fresh instead of taking yours.
- Mischief Medals: Mischief Medals are the second currency. You earn them by progressing through the rewards track using Goblin Cash. These medals are spent at the Trader Shop to buy exclusive event items, including the powerful Dark Crown equipment.
The Debt Collector Troop
The Debt Collector is the star of this event. This temporary troop is designed specifically for resource raiding and makes farming incredibly profitable.
Here’s what makes Debt Collectors special:
Feature | Details |
Auto-Added to Army | 10 Debt Collectors appear in every multiplayer battle |
Loot Multiplier | Doubles all stolen loot from resource buildings |
Health | Double the HP of regular Goblins |
Damage | Four times more damage to resource buildings |
Housing Space | Takes 4 spaces each |
Debt Collectors appear automatically in your army during multiplayer battles, Legend League attacks, and revenge attacks. They won’t show up in single-player missions, Clan Wars, or Friendly Challenges. While you can train additional Debt Collectors manually, remember they move slower than regular Goblins and can’t be donated to Clan Castles or ride in Siege Machines.
Event Rewards and Progression
To complete the main rewards track, you need to collect 16,000 Goblin Cash. There’s also a bonus track requiring another 8,000 Goblin Cash. Your daily Goblin Cash limit increases over time, helping you finish faster.
Free-to-play players can earn up to 3,750 Mischief Medals, along with:
- 5,000 Shiny Ore
- 400 Glowy Ore
- 3 Mighty Morsels (hero boost items)
The Event Pass costs $4.99 and unlocks a premium tier with better rewards:
- 5,500 additional Mischief Medals
- 600 Glowy Ore
- 80 Starry Ore for Epic equipment upgrades
With the Event Pass, you can earn up to 9,250 total Mischief Medals instead of just 3,750.
The Dark Crown Equipment
The Dark Crown is the highlight reward of the Dark Deal event. This Epic equipment is designed for the Minion Prince hero and completely changes how he performs in battle.
How Dark Crown Works
Level | Base Bonus | Max Stacks | Total Boost |
1 | 3% | 3 stacks | 9% increase |
27 (Max) | 10% | 3 stacks | 30% increase |
The Dark Crown is a passive ability that boosts the Minion Prince’s health and damage three times during battle. Each boost activates after 60 housing spaces worth of your troops are defeated. This stacks up to three times per battle.
At level 1, each stack gives a 3% bonus. At max level 27, each stack gives 10%, reaching a total 30% increase in both health and damage.
Best Strategies for Dark Crown
The Dark Crown works best with air-heavy armies like Dragons or Electro Dragons. The Minion Prince gains power as your troops fall, making him stronger in the late game. Spawned units like Yeti Mites, Skeletons, and Big Boys count toward triggering the boost.
Note that Siege Machines, cloned troops, defending Clan Castle units, and the Minion Prince himself don’t count toward the trigger.
That covers everything about Clash of Clans’ exciting new event called Dark Deal. With more and more content being added, events like this incentivises players to keep returning and enjoying the game.
