Made in Chelsea stars to Debate at Cambridge Union
of the hit TV Show, Made in Chelsea, are to debate at the Cambridge Union of Tuesday 4th October

Stars of the TV Show Made in Chelsea are to debate at the Cambridge Union during Freshers’ Week, it has been revealed.
The stars are to go head-to-head against the Footlights on Tuesday 4th October in a debate entitled “This House Would Rather Be in Cambridge Than Chelsea.”
Speaking to Varsity, Union President Calum Macdonald said: "We wanted to have a mix of events to kick off the term. So having a very light hearted and fun comedy debate seemed a natural balance.
"The fact it coincides with the launch of their new series and the Footlights are really keen made it even more attractive."
The Made in Chelsea team will comprise of Ollie Locke, a 24-year-old VIP host for London club Whiskey Mist, Francis Boulle, a 22-year-old millionaire, Fredrik Ferrier, a 21-year-old model, and 22-year-old Mark-Francis Vandelli.

The debate, scheduled to begin at 8pm, takes place during the Union’s open-period during which time all members of the University of Cambridge may attend events irrespective of whether they have a Union membership.
Abtin Sadeghi, a Medic at St. Catharine's College, told Varsity, "I think it will be an amusing debate to watch but I don't really think that the Made in Chelsea crew will have an important message to convey.
"I'm also pretty sure the Footlights will win the motion as I doubt the Made in Chelsea cast will be able to debate as effectively as Cambridge undergraduates."
This is the first debate to be announced this term at the Cambridge Union. The Union term-card is to be released in the coming weeks and is likely to provide an event filled Michaelmas.
