Lord Kitchener is put to ill use again. At least it's in the name of charity.

Did your Rag Date turn up with a boquet of two dozen roses and whisk you away to Browns or were you one of the fateful few that shared medium fries in MacDonalds before being turned away for the crime of 'heavy petting'? Did you have to talk your painfully shy date out of a panic attack? Did your comedy form turn out to be true to life or did his carefully crude illustrations win over your heart?

RAG Blind Date is officially recognised as having generated some brilliant anecdotes and Varsity would like to hear a few. Next week our paper comes out on the morning of RAG Blind Date 2012 and we'll be printing some success stories (as well as some horror stories) to get you in the mood. Watch out for our issue on the 10th of February to hear some corkers.

But for use to print your stories, we need to hear them first. Or, perhaps more importantly, we need your friends to show some lack of discretion and send them to us.

At the start of every year, RAG chooses 10 local and international charities to support; this year they include Alzeimers Research UK, British Red Cross and Jimmy's Night Shelter in Cambridge. Forms cost £5 are are available for in pink for girls, blue for boys and green for LGBT.  Go to http://www.cambridgerag.org.uk/events/blind-date/ to find out more. Deadlines for applications is the evening of Friday 3rd.
