The competiton was judged by multiple award-winning writer Robert Macfarlane, who has published on a variety of topics with a focus on environment and nature. He also guest-edited the Mays in 2005 as well as sitting on the panel of judges for the Man Booker Prize in 2004.
There will be an opportunity to read out your poems on the 12th of March at Sidney Sussex College, Knox Shaw Room, 7.00pm.
The rules for the competition were:

To enter simply send in a poem written by you, no longer than 500 words in length, to arts@varsity.co.uk with "Poetry Competition" in the subject line.
Deadline: Wednesday 9th March 2011, 5pm
No theme is specified. Each person may submit up to three poems.
