Cambridge students pennied by radio presenter
The goodwill of CamFM presenter Daniel Edward turns into a treasure hunt for students in Cambridge
Cam FM’s late-breakfast presenter, Daniel Edward, has been dropping pennies around Cambridge in order to bring luck to students about to face exams. A thousand will be spread around the city after Daniel found a £10 note on the street and wanted to share his good fortune with as many people as possible.
Daniel, a second year Psychology student at Corpus, said: “I felt pretty pleased with myself when I stumbled across an ownerless £10 note in the street and, unable to find a charity pot, I thought sharing the luck with other exam-stricken students was the next best thing! I hope they bring luck to everyone who finds one!”
The presenter will be continuing hosting the late breakfast show on Cam FM every weekday from 10am during the summer exam season, offering plenty of opportunities to procrastinate amidst revision. He added: “It’s great to be able to entertain my fellow students every morning on Cam FM, so I thought I’d branch out and put a smile on as many students’ faces as possible in this tense term”
With almost twelve thousand full-time undergraduates studying at the University, it’s likely that one of the lucky pennies might be yours. With exams looming, most students need all the help they can get- so get searching.
