Roll up! Roll up! Catch the comedy highlight, Cirque de l’Extraordinaire. (11pm, Wed 4th - Sat 7th, ADC). It’s the best of both worlds: a sketch show set in a circus.

However if the space between hope and glory is more your sort of thing then the ADC Mainshow, The Strip (Tue 3rd - Sat 7th, 7.45pm), might be just what you’re looking for.

Before then though make sure you see the end of the Footlights Spring Review: A Lot of Bother (Tue 24th - Sat 28th, ADC). There are still tickets going for Saturday’s matinee. Writing for Varsity, Genevieve Cox was blown away, writing that ‘This was a wonderfully witty, incredibly inspired and fantastically staged performance of sketches’. DON’T MISS OUT! 

Music

The Glass Animals tour reaches the Junction (8pm, Mon 2nd). In an interview with the band Olivia Brogan wrote, ‘they hold the promise of being rawer and more bizarre then ever before.’ Don’t miss your chance to see this band live.

Talks

Human rights lawyer and Orwell prize winner Raja Shehadeh talks to poet Ruth Padel about the language of politics and the politics of language. The Language of Peace continues the Cambridge Literary Festival (6pm, Sat 27th, St Mary’s School). This is sure to be an exceptional way to spend a Saturday.

Film

Appropriate Behavior, the eagerly anticipated debut from Desiree Akhavan will be out in cinemas next week. But just for all you keen indie movie fans the Arts Picturehouse will be hosting a Q&A with Akhavan to discuss the film's story (a politically correct bisexual Brooklynite coming to grips with her identity in the face of her conservative Persian parents) and its LGBT+ themes. An exclusive interview with Desiree Akhavan will be published in Varsity next week. Watch this space (and the film).
